Hello there! It’s been awhile.
Fall is typically a busy time for photographers, and I’m so grateful to be a working photographer. This profession can be seasonally sporadic at best, and there is a reason most photographers have second jobs, or diversify into multiple genres.
It is not for the faint of heart I will tell you that.
As we welcome in spooky season (one of my favourite times of year) It’s also the last Friday of the month. And you know what that means?
I need to drop a spooked newsletter on your ass.
Here it goes~
The Mirror
Many years ago, my good friend Rox and I were having a well deserved Friday happy hour in my kitchen, which usually rolled into the wee hours of the mornin’ one too many, but who’s counting?
This photo below is a photo my husband took of us showing off our somewhat newly acquired matching tattoos.
These tattoos were a bad/great idea we cultivated, and staggered into fruition, one late night in Vegas at a back alley tattoo shop off of Fremont Street. We are thankful to the universe every day that we somehow avoided hepatitis, and any other blood born illnesses.
Any way, as I enlarge this shitty cell phone photo, which, by the way, I spent way too much time looking for- you will see something seriously creepy.
I didn’t even notice it until a couple of years later. There was a strange reflection in the mirror behind us, and because there were other people there that evening, I logically thought is was one of our other friends, so I zoomed into see whom it might be.
White faced demon or some weird reflection. We will never know.
I was unable to locate the original of this old cell phone photo at the time of this post. I had to find it somewhere in archived social media posts, so the quality of what I am showing you is lacking. But I promise you the original was disturbing in clarity.
That mirror is long gone. And I have cleared the house many times since then. But had I noticed what was in that mirror at the time the photo was actually taken, I think I would have moved out.
Check your mirrors.
Sleep tight.
If you have a spooky mirror story I would love to hear it!
If you enjoyed this little read please share it with someone, because that would make my day and hopefully brighten theirs.
